| Liner notes from "when the flute meets the sea" |
| "This is an amazing world that we live in. So intimate and delicate...
the infinite depth of our reality...a truly personal experience for each of us as
individuals and as much as we would love to share with others...even a nudge or
a wink to acknowledge...the "I can't believe how fabulous" this life is.
We all have these moments that are just for us and no one else...all the while knowing
this, it is sad and beautiful at the same time. |
| A good portion of my life has been sitting in amazement watching
the sunsets on the Gulf of Mexico...many times playing the flute or meditating or both.
During these moments, there have been many times that have gone into the other
worldly realms for only my eyes to see and no way to share with anyone. |
| It's been over two years since the release of the Urban Meditations
recording and the heart felt warmth from the listeners, healers, therapists, meditation,
yoga, tai chi practioners kept me looking for what to do next with the music.
As with most things...it was right under my nose...to do what I do and attempt to capture
the delicate intimacy that occurs when the flute meets the sea... |
| I was led to the most remote beach in my area and also one of my favorite
old haunts...a part of Grayton Beach that I have been playing in since I was a child. |
| This wonderful gift that has been bestowed to me, which I rarely get to
share, has been partially captured...through sound on this recording...Though it goes much
deeper than these words can express...I hope that this CD can and will provide a gateway
for those listeners on their path to the divine.
